Make a Custom Halloween Invitation — 1-2-3

Put your personality into this year’s Halloween Party Invitation

It’s even easier than 1-2-3 to find a terrific Halloween graphic, add your own  note and have your invitation printed on super metallic-glossy photo card stock.

Store-bought invitations just don’t cut it — they’re boring. Follow along as I show you how easily I created my own invite to convey my own special Halloween party message.

Create your own card in minutes and have them delivered within a few days. Plenty of time to address those spooky black envelopes and send to all your friends. Oh, and did I mention that these invitations come with BLACK envelopes — how perfect is that!!

Halloween is my favorite holiday.

I decorate. I plan. I invite friends over for a party and bonfire, sometimes even a treasure hunt for the kids. There is so much you can do to have fun on Halloween. So it’s no wonder I’m particular about the invitations I send out. I want them to convey my personality, my humor and the intent of the party to be a howling success! I decided to send out customized 5″x7″ HotNotes Metallic Photo Greeting Cards. Here’s how I did it:

  1. Upload a photo (maybe from last year’s party??) to lifephoto.com. I didn’t have a great photo, so I selected a graphic that fit my Halloween mood from Microsoft’s Clip Art site (free).  Saved it to my computer, then uploaded it to lifephoto.
  2. Pick out a template. HotNotes offer 9 templates which take from 1 to 5 photos or uploaded graphics of your choice.
  3. Drag your photos or graphics into place, add your text message, then order.

It’s just that easy. Took me 5-10 minutes, including time to pick out a Halloween graphic — the clip art site had 69 images from which to select.

Black Envelopes — Ideal for Halloween Cards

The envelopes are absolutely the perfect complement to a Halloween invitation.  And they’re included in the price! But the real treat is viewing the actual 5″x7″ card — with its wonderful color clarity on a liquid-like glossy finish. Pictures cannot convey that look — you just have to see it for yourself. The blues, silver and gold tones of my witch graphic really “pop” on this special photograph card stock.

Like my card idea?
Then please go to the top of this post and share it with your FB friends — Tweet it — Stumble it or Digg it. Thanks.
